LOS ANGELES, Dec. 21, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- PowerSites Media, a leading internet marketing firm based in Los Angeles run by CEO McNair Zimbalist and COO Eli Pearlman, has been acquired in an all cash deal. Since 2009 PowerSites has provided internet marketing and lead generation services to over 14,000 small business customers in Southern California.
McNair Zimbalist and Eli Pearlman acquired PowerSites from The PennySaver bankruptcy proceedings in July of 2015. The PennySaver employed over 700 people in Southern California at the time and had been in business since 1962. When McNair Zimbalist and Eli Pearlman took control of PowerSites they quickly recruited a new team and successfully restructured the company into a highly profitable, streamlined and growing business over the course of the following two years. A group of private equity investors lead by Jason Detar acquired PowerSites in an all cash deal.
PowerSites Media CEO, McNair Zimbalist, said, "We are thrilled with the result of this turnaround effort and believe the new leadership team will continue to improve PowerSites' suite of products which are specifically designed to help small businesses generate new customers in an affordable way."
PowerSites Media COO, Eli Pearlman, said, "Our team turned a bankrupt brand into a highly profitable and well respected business in a short period of time and we couldn't be happier. This success story validates our team's ability to identify undervalued assets and quickly create significant upside."
Jason Detar, incoming CEO of PowerSites, said, "We're excited about this opportunity and plan on investing heavily into the business and expanding it outside of Southern California and offering PowerSites' marketing and lead generation services to customers nationwide."
PowerSites currently has three primary products all designed to get phone calls and foot traffic for its customers with 24 hours. The three packages, PowerSites Professional Package, PowerSites SEO+ Package, and the PowerSites SEM Package, have helped thousands of Southern California businesses grow through high quality websites, search engine optimization, and Google and Bing Advertising.
"We are already preparing to launch new social media marketing services, bring back the direct mail offerings PennySaver was most known for, and create a partner program so other companies can benefit from our unique approach to delivering results for small business," Jason added.
