Practice Fusion Makes it Easier for Independent Practices to Achieve Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) Recognition

SAN FRANCISCO, June 28, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Practice Fusion, Inc., the #1 cloud-based electronic health record (EHR) platform, announced today that the Practice Fusion EHR (Version 3.6) has achieved Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) Prevalidation from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) for NCQA's PCMH 2014 Program. 

PCMH Prevalidation is designed to help practices identify health IT solutions that alleviate or make more efficient administrative aspects of meeting NCQA PCMH Program requirements. Practices using the Practice Fusion EHR (Version 3.6) are now prevalidated to receive 10.87 points in approved automatic credit (autocredit) towards NCQA's PCMH 2014 scoring, helping them to more easily achieve PCMH Recognition. The Practice Fusion EHR (Version 3.6) also earned a supporting designation for 31 factors in the PCMH 2014 Standards. This means that Practice Fusion's customers will have a more streamlined pathway towards achieving at least 58 of the factors required for formal NCQA PCMH Recognition. Practices that use an NCQA Prevalidated system with autocredit awarded to a factor also do not have to submit documentation for that associated factor within their PCMH Survey.
