Preformed Line Products will be attending the IEEE Expo in Chicago
MAYFIELD VILLAGE, Ohio, April 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Preformed Line Products Company (PLP), a leader in the energy industry since 1947, will be at McCormick Place from April 14th – 17th for the IEEE Expo. Visit PLP at Booth, # 6735, and let PLP introduce you to its full line of products, including new and patented products.
NEW Aluminum FIBERLIGN® In-Span Storage System
PLP is introducing a lightweight Aluminum FIBERLIGN In-Span Storage system family. In-span storage is often the simplest, tidiest and most portable cable storage systems. For years PLP has offered this solution with the FIBERLIGN® CLAS and In-Span Storage Systems. Now with the Aluminum In-Span, customers will have more flexibility to tailor their slack storage bracket for any size cable system.
The Expanded RAPTOR PROTECTOR™ Family – Designed to Prevent Migratory Bird Fatalities and Costly System Damage
You need to shield your power utility from outages and soaring fines. To protect your power utility and comply with U.S. law, PLP offers an expanded series of RAPTOR PROTECTOR products. These covers quickly and easily snap onto insulators or dead-ends, providing a barrier between birds and potential electrocution. The RAPTOR PROTECTOR family offers six variations that fit most insulator or dead-end configurations.
Splice Shunts - A Proven Solution to a Growing Problem
PLP Splice Shunts are a quicker, safer, less expensive option to revive failing splices in minutes. Linemen can install them over existing splices without disrupting power, and restore 100 percent of electrical conductivity while reducing temperatures across automatic or compression splices. Made from lightweight aluminum alloy rods, coated with conductive grit, they install easily with hot sticks, and no special tools are required.
PLP offers free training for all products, including at customer locations and in the field. Schedule a training session when you visit PLP at IEEE.
