Valor Christian High School unveils "The Valor Center for Culture and Influence"
HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo., Oct. 26, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Valor Christian High School announces the completion of The Valor Center for Culture and Influence, a world class performing and visual arts facility and college preparatory conservatory program. The 83,000 square foot, state of the art facility was revealed at a Grand Opening Gala October 25, 2015.
The heart of the Valor Center is a 750-seat performance hall with a full-fly stage, mechanized pit lift, state-of-the-art lighting, rigging and superior variable acoustics. The new facility also includes:
- A "destination" recording studio featuring the highest level of production capabilities available, designed to attract professional artists from near and far and facilitate opportunities for students to work alongside the industry's top talent
- State-of-the-art, professional television studio
- Specialized piano lab that will allow up to 16 students to work simultaneously and includes a full complement of digital Yamaha Clavinovas
- Media screening and editing suite, which provides a unique, high-level post-production environment
- Black Box Theatre, offering flexible use for anything from classical theater in the round to uniquely innovative contemporary performances
- State-of-the-art safety engineered stagecraft suite
- Four practice and isolation rooms that provide acoustically isolated space for interviews, voice-overs and foley editing
- Two dance studios with sprung flooring, full mirrors and bars, and integrated performance lighting and audio
- Hydraulic orchestra pit with space for up to 50 instrumentalists, and an orchestra rehearsal suite and a full complement of acoustically isolated practice rooms
- Specialized 2D and 3D art rooms and two galleries for displaying artwork from students and curated professional exhibits
- State of the art design labs, which allow for a full complement of digital design, photography and media production classes
- Professional photography lab that allows for instruction in professional lighting techniques with creative and commercial applications, while at the same time offering space for traditional darkroom instruction

The new Valor Conservatory for the Arts is a specialized and concerted college and career arts and media preparatory program that offers students maximum advantage in the pursuit of their chosen discipline.
