PrimeWay Federal Credit Union Helps Members Pay Off $754K in Debt Through Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University

HOUSTON, Oct. 20, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Leading personal finance website GOBankingRates spotlights its client PrimeWay Federal Credit Union for hosting Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University, helping its members better manage -- and ultimately pay off -- their debt. Through the initiative, which PrimeWay and Houston Methodist Hospital launched in 2009, 172 participants have attended more than 15 classes, paying off a total of $754,000 in debt.

"The most rewarding part for me is when people who have attended the class come up and tell me how this program has changed their lives, because they now have control of their finances," said Mike Green, PrimeWay's SEG Development Manager and the program's coordinator. Even more significantly, in some cases, it has saved marriages and kept families together."
