PRI(R) Expands Partnership With Canadian Broadcasting Corporation for New Distribution of Content in United States

MINNEAPOLIS, April 14 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Public Radio International (PRI) announces a major partnership expansion with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC). In its role of providing global perspectives and diverse voices to American listeners on air, online and on demand, PRI will now serve as exclusive U.S. distributor of selected CBC programs. In addition to "WireTap," weekly eavesdropping on the profound, the absurd and more with Jonathan Goldstein, PRI will add two CBC programs to its portfolio. They are "As It Happens," a celebrated nightly news and information interview program with Carol Off and Barbara Budd, and "Q," a lively, daily exploration of culture and entertainment with Jian Ghomeshi. "Q" launches with PRI on May 31 and "As It Happens" on July 1.
