Professional Paintball Tournament Takes Over Huntington Beach CA
HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif., April 8, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- THE NATIONAL PROFESSIONAL PAINTBALL LEAGUE'S Surf City USA Open comes to Huntington Beach for the 11th year in a row. Games are played on the beach.
WHAT:
National Professional Paintball League is the oldest tournament series in the United States and the Governing body for the sport of Paintball. The Tournament Series starts off on the beach in Huntington Beach, California and is a part of a North American Series that finishes in Las Vegas, Nevada. Teams from all over the country and globe make their annual trek to beautiful HB to compete for over $50,000.00 in cash and coveted series points. Over 100 teams match 7 players against each other in a game of capture the flag. Teams play in 6 different divisions levels: Professional, D1-Semi Pro, D2-Amature, D3-Rookie, D4-Novice and Young Guns. The game is simple capture the other teams flag with out getting shot and you win the match. Females also compete along side the men. This year Team Destiny a team made up of all women will be playing in Division 4. The NPPL also hosts a spectacular paintball trade show showcasing paintball supplies and equipment. There will be shooting booths open to the public sponsored by the US Army.
