EXPERT ALERTS:
Green New Deal Counterpoint
John Tintera
President
Texas Alliance of Energy Producers
"Hydrocarbons will continue to remain a vital part of all domestic and worldwide energy solutions. America must reject any political trend, deal, or social philosophy that threatens our national security, which is built on our energy independence."
Based in Austin, Tintera is a regulatory expert and licensed geologist (Texas #325) with a thorough knowledge of virtually all facets of upstream oil and gas exploration, production and transportation, including conventional and unconventional reservoirs. He is a former executive director and 22-year veteran of the Railroad Commission of Texas, which is considered the premier oilfield regulator in the nation. While there, he oversaw the entire regulatory process, from drilling permits to compliance inspections, oil spill response, pollution remediation, and pipeline transportation.

Climate Disruption and Extreme Weather
Monty Hempel
Professor
University of Redlands
"The new abnormal in climate disruption includes a new normal in weather extremes: polar vortexes tilting toward the American Midwest at the same time that record heat grips places like Australia. Meanwhile, the planet as a whole continues to heat up, rain down, storm around, and melt away, often at accelerating rates."
Hempel is available to discuss climate change, global warming, and other environmental phenomena. His expertise includes: environmental science and politics; sustainability concepts and practice; climate disruption; marine environmental studies, with particular emphasis on international coral reef protection; renewable energy policy; sustainable community indicators; global environmental governance; wilderness preservation; and human population stabilization. He is the author of "Climate Disruption: Searching for Sustainability in Southern California," a report commissioned by the Southern California Association of Governments (published and distributed summer 2009 by SCAG).

We celebrate Black History Month not only to acknowledge the profound debt we owe these leaders and pioneers, but also to inspire all people to learn from and share in the unique cultural experiences of black people in America. - HYBRID PUBLISHING: THE MIDDLE GROUND BETWEEN TRADITIONAL AND SELF-PUBLISHING. This week, we explore the mysterious world of hybrid publishing. We can't help but think of Harry Potter when we think of this type of publishing. Specifically, we think of everyone's favorite half-eagle, half-horse magical creature: the hippogriff. Like a hippogriff, hybrid publishing combines two starkly different things -- traditional and self-publishing -- into something entirely new: https://prn.to/2TNoWvx
- BLOG PROFILES: ORGANIZATION AND DECLUTTERING BLOGS. Each week, PR Newswire's Audience Relations team selects an industry/subject and profiles a handful of sites that do a good job with promoting and contributing to the conversation.
