Prometheus Real Estate Group Partners with Habitat for Humanity

SAN MATEO, Calif., April 18, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Prometheus Real Estate Group's Promethean OutReach and Community Help program, "POrCH," is Prometheus' volunteer program which works to build strong communities where we live, work, and play. With hundreds of hours of volunteer time logged in the past year throughout the West coast, teams of Prometheus volunteers have dedicated their time as the program continues to expand. The effort encourages Prometheus Real Estate employees, fondly referred to as Prometheans, to pursue their passion for helping out the local community in many ways. In fact, the program has seen such great success since its launch in 2010 that the organization will be expanding beyond its base of 650 Prometheans, to include nearly 22,000 residents who reside in their apartment communities.

As they kick off their 2012 volunteer season, nearly a quarter of the Prometheus' employee population will be participating in an eight hour day of volunteering with Habitat for Humanity. The Prometheus team members will be giving back to their local community by helping to build a 36 unit condo development in Daly City, which is one of the largest projects to date. The Prometheus volunteers will be participating on three separate days, March 29^th, April 5^th, and April 12^th, and will assist with a variety of tasks including building, painting, and lending a hand wherever it's needed.

The Promethean volunteers are made up of members from all backgrounds, including accounting, leasing, and human resources; however, nearly half of the volunteers participating are members of the maintenance team. This skilled volunteering offers a great opportunity to easily put their talents and expertise to work for a great cause.
