BANGKOK, Oct. 3, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- After the success of the 27th ProPak Asia 2018, Asia's No. 1 international processing and packaging industry event held in Bangkok, Thailand last 13 - 16 June 2018. UBM Philippines is now bringing this world-renowned processing and packaging event to the Philippines.
Propak Asia was attended by 48,799 visitors and over 1,170 delegates were from the Philippines, which included more than 450 delegates lead by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). Filipino industry professionals attended ProPak Asia to see the latest and widest range of new technology, machines, solutions and packaging materials from global suppliers that can help grow, develop and level-up local industry players to the next level of manufacturing and supply.
This would not have been possible without the support of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) led by Sec. Ramon Lopez and with the presence of Usec. Zenaida Maglaya of Regional Operation Group (ROG) to grace the Opening Ceremony and lead the ProPak Philippines Investment Forum held at ProPak Asia.
The launch of ProPak Philippines will be held on 24 - 26 January 2019 at the World Trade Center Metro Manila, Pasay City. The show will deliver, a first-of-its-kind, ProPak international standard industry trade event focused on processing and packaging, and connect leading international and local suppliers to local and regional buyers right here in Manila.
ProPak Philippines will be the perfect platform to access a robust and expanding industry in need of new machines and technology. This show will support local industry to expand and innovate its processing and packaging industries especially for the food, beverages and pharmaceutical sectors.
The show is expected to attract over 180 exhibitors from across the world with international pavilions already confirmed from mainland China, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Singapore, Taiwan and the UK, over 6,000 industry trade visitors looking to source for new products and latest technologies, and potential business partners that will help generate and support growing business.
The DTI has seen the huge potential of the Philippines in the packaging industry and explored ways to reach its goal to help the people in the packaging industry through expanding their knowledge, innovating packaging solutions and connecting with the international network of the industry.
