Mongoose Jam kicked off with the Park Comp on Tuesday, August 5 at Camp Woodward's Lot 8. Each team had at least two riders competing with the option to have all of their riders show off their Park skills. Each rider was given 40 seconds and three runs to throw down, with the best session counting as their final score. Team McCann's Freddie Smith did some unique and off-axis backflip bar spins while Team Wallace's Jack Mould landed a back flip tail whip into a bar spin. The audience went wild for Kyle Baldock's (Team McCann) 1080 and Daniel Sandoval's (Team McCann) 360 downside tail whip to double bar spin. At the end of the Park Session, it was Mongoose team captain Kevin Peraza who not only came away with the win, but propelled his team into first for the win.

During the Street competition, pros and amateurs ripped at the Block, the Plaza, and the Outdoor Street course. Riders landed tricks in all three areas, but the coolest feature was Mongoose's custom "M" logo ramp. Street was the second day of competition, but teams showed no signs of slowing down. Every team had had three runs in each section. Highlights included Team Illingworth's Corey Martinez nailing a never-been-seen-before half cab to icepick grind at the Plaza; Team McCann's Kyle Baldock landing a perfect front flip off an upledge at the Block; and Team Peraza's Jeremiah Smith's technical combinations in the Outdoor Street course to keep Team Peraza in the lead. However, Team Wallace's Matt Ray, an amateur camper in 2012, took the win in the Street competition.

The 2014 Mongoose Jam Dirt Competition wrapped up at Big Dirt. The results decided which team would take the glory and the bragging rights as well as the largest portion of the $50,000 prize.
The entire camp cheered as they watch Drew Bezanson (Team Ryan) nail yet another never-before-seen trick – a no handed backflip peg grab. The crowd got even rowdier as Kenneth Tencio attempted a backflip superman seat grab to Tailwhip for the fans. However, it was Daniel Sandoval (Team McCann) who took first in Dirt. Not only was it his wicked downside whip 360 to barspin, but also his variety of tricks, execution, and solid runs that landed him at the top of the leaderboard.

(Most Valuable Rider) for his awesome riding and was awarded a Mongoose Teocali Mountain Bike.
