Prospera Honors Successful Local, Hispanic Business Owners
Community gathers at annual fundraising event to celebrate entrepreneurship
TAMPA, Fla., Oct. 5, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Three Hispanic business owners from the Tampa Bay area were honored at the 2018 Prospera Success Stories Luncheon on Wednesday, October 3. The economic development, nonprofit organization hosts the event each year to recognize a few notable clients while raising funds for its year-round services. This year's theme was Built to Last, reflecting on the strong business foundation established by Prospera's clients with its assistance, to help increase their success and longevity.
This year's Success Stories Luncheon attracted 400 attendees, including government, business and community leaders. Prospera representatives emphasized the impact of Hispanic-owned businesses on the economy, their even greater potential, and the importance of community support for Prospera's mission. Representatives from sponsors Bank of America, BB&T, Regions and SunTrust delivered remarks at the event, as did Prospera volunteers. The luncheon was guided by event MC Cristina Puig, news anchor and reporter for Telemundo 49.
The 2018 Success Stories honorees were selected among entrepreneurs who have received Prospera services, based on business growth, excellence and economic impact. The following Hispanic entrepreneurs were honored:

A minority-certified and woman-owned business that offers land surveying, public involvement and civil engineering consulting in transportation. Its 13 employees provide services in seven Florida counties and they continue to expand. - Catalina Banchero & Federico Lorente, LED PRO Event Services | ledproevents.com
A full event production service company that has grown to six employees, a 4,500 sq. ft. space in Pinellas County, and are now producing over 120 events per year.
