Prosveshcheniye: 65 Million Displaced Persons Poses an Urgent Challenge for the Modern Educational System

At the Mobile Learning Week held at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, the President of Prosveshcheniye, Vladimir Uzun proposed to establish an an ad-hoc committee under the umbrella of UNESCO for the coordination of social educational programmes and projects implemented by businesses in various countries.

Mobile Learning Week also focused on special textbooks for disabled children. Two hundred new textbooks for visually impaired children in all secondary school subjects have been published by Prosveshcheniye for a short period of time.
Vladimir Uzun held a meeting with the Assistant-Director General for Education of UNESCO, Mr. Qian Tang, during which the importance of bilateral cooperation in the main areas of UNESCO activities - primarily in the field of distance learning in remote regions -was reaffirmed. The parties agreed to a special agreement aimed at development of the main initiatives of UNESCO within Education 2030. It will be signed at the Moscow International Salon of Education, which will be held in April this year in Moscow.
