PwC Appoints New U.S. Power & Utilities Leadership Team

NEW YORK, Jan. 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- PwC US today announced the appointment of three new leaders to its U.S. Power & Utilities practice – Michael (Casey) Herman to U.S. power & utilities leader, Timothy Schutt to U.S. power & utilities advisory leader, and Robin Miller to U.S. power & utilities tax leader.

Herman and Schutt succeed David Etheridge, who previously served as U.S. power & utilities leader and U.S. power & utilities advisory leader and recently assumed the role of advisory consumer and industrial products and service (CIPS) vertical leader at PwC. Etheridge will also continue in his role as PwC's global power and utilities advisory leader. Miller succeeds Craig King, who was PwC's power & utilities tax leader for more than ten years. King will continue to focus on several significant client leadership roles at the firm and provide continued client support.

Casey Herman has been with PwC for nearly 30 years and also serves as the U.S. power & utilities assurance leader, a position he's held for nearly a decade. As assurance leader, Herman works with clients to help enhance the relevance and reliability of financial statements and maintain capital market confidence. In his new role as U.S. power & utilities leader, he will oversee a team of professionals delivering comprehensive financial, operational, and strategic services to clients in the power and utilities industry. Herman received his Bachelor of Science in Management from Tulane University, Freeman School of Business. He is based in PwC's Chicago office.

As U.S. power & utilities advisory leader, Tim Schutt is responsible for overseeing PwC's development and delivery of relevant industry strategies and solutions that help power and utility companies solve complex business issues around customer strategy and customer operations, asset management  including development, construction and operations,  portfolio optimization and commodity risk management, workforce management, finance operations optimization, and regulatory compliance. Over the course of nearly two decades with the firm, Schutt has amassed in-depth knowledge in the fields of commercial operations and commodity risk management, including valuation, risk measurement and litigation support and implementation of enabling commodity trading and risk management technology. Additionally, Schutt has significant experience around IT enabled enterprise level transformation. Schutt holds a B.S. in finance from Truman State University, an M.S. in accounting from the University of Missouri and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He is based out of PwC's Atlanta office.

Chicago-based tax partner Robin Miller brings more than 20 years of experience to her new role as U.S. power & utilities tax leader. As tax leader, Miller is responsible for leading the delivery of tax advisory consultation services, working closely with PwC partners, staff and clients to respond to the complexities of the industry. She focuses on tax planning to optimize tax outcomes and mitigate risk, addressing specific client issues as well as the wider business and regulatory environments.  She received her M.S.T. and B.A. from the University of Illinois and is a licensed CPA and member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
