PwC Appoints Scott Moore as North Texas Managing Partner

DALLAS, Feb. 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- PwC US today announced it has appointed Scott Moore as Managing Partner of the firm's North Texas market, effective immediately. Moore brings 27 years of experience to the role and will be responsible for leading more than 1,900 professionals in delivering audit, tax and advisory services to clients in the firm's Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, and Little Rock offices.

Moore succeeds Tom Codd, who led the North Texas market for PwC for the last six years.  Codd was recently appointed PwC's Vice Chairman, US Human Capital Leader. In his new role, Codd, who will continue to reside in Dallas, is responsible for driving PwC's talent strategy, including its programs and policies around flexibility, engagement, career progression and leadership development.

Prior to taking on his new role, Moore served as the Tax Leader for the North Texas market and for the Retail & Consumer industry practice in the US. He was admitted to the partnership in 2000 and currently serves clients in the Financial Services and Energy sectors.

Moore is past Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Executive Committee of the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas and is a recipient of the Theodore P. Beasley lifetime achievement award from YMCA for his years of service and leadership.  He is currently a trustee of The Catholic Foundation and is a past member and former Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Dallas Children's Advocacy Center.  Moore is also a graduate of the 1998 class of Leadership Dallas and a member of the Leadership Dallas Alumni Association.

Moore earned his BBA in Accounting and a Master of Science in Taxation from Texas Tech University. He is a Certified Professional Accountant licensed in the state of Texas.
