QMotion Develops First of its Kind Trackless, Wireless Motorized Drapery Rod

PENSACOLA, Fla., June 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Motorized drapery systems no longer need an unattractive track. Nor do they need unsightly wires and motor boxes.

QMotion Advanced Shading Systems has developed the industry's first – and only –track-less motorized drapery rod. The next generation of motorized window fashions now adds seamless elegance to any residential or commercial space.

The new wireless drapery rod goes even further, removing noise, external motors and wires. The patent-pending, battery-operated motors are tucked away inside QMotion's drapery rod and are easily accessible for those infrequent times when you may need to change out the standard alkaline batteries—another industry first.

In addition, QMotion's drapery rod is equipped with an exclusive manual override feature, called Touch Wand Activation. Users gently 'tap' the wand to open or close draperies via movement sensing technology.

The drapery rods come in six finishes, with optional finials that are available in six designer styles. Drapery hardware can be mixed and matched and paired with decorative draperies to create a personalized drapery rod system that adds a distinctive look to your office or home.

The trackless motorized drapery rod is the latest creation by QMotion, a U.S.-based company known for remarkable innovation and design. QMotion created the first automated shade featuring a patented manual override option and it won the Window Covering Manufacturing Association award for "Best New Technical Innovation" in 2012 for a system that significantly extends battery life and reduces noise. QMotion was most recently recognized with a Gold Quest for Quality Award for excellence in customer service from CE Pro. The distinction was awarded based on votes from CE Pro readers in the industry.
