QThru Launches iOS and Android Apps to Further Enhance the In-Store Shopping Experience
Mobile point-of-sale platform allows shoppers to simply scan and purchase items using smartphones
SEATTLE, Dec. 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, QThru the mobile point-of-sale platform that allows consumers to shop, scan and checkout using their smartphones, announced the launch of its mobile app – for iOS and Android – taking the in-store shopping experience to the next level.
The QThru app provides simplicity to the shopping experience by allowing shoppers to leave their wallets at home, skip long checkout lines and safely make purchases by using their smartphone to scan items as they shop and later check-out by scanning a kiosk QR code.

QThru has completed a successful beta test at the Ridge IGA Supermarket in Snoqualmie, Washington, and is now planning to bring the service to 14 grocery and retail stores in the Seattle area by the end of March 2013.
