RaceForce Announces April 19th For West Hollywood's First Annual Sunset Strip Half Marathon & 5K
The 13.1 mile race and finish line music festival will draw thousands of runners and spectators to the Sunset Strip and will boost hotel and retail trade in West Hollywood and Hollywood.
LOS ANGELES, Feb. 5, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- RaceForce, LLC, a leading endurance and athletic event production company based in Los Angeles, CA announced West Hollywood's first annual Sunset Strip Half Marathon & 5K will take place on April 19th of next year. The 13.1 mile race and finish line music festival will draw thousands of runners and spectators to the Sunset Strip and will boost local hotel and retail trade in West Hollywood and Hollywood.

RaceForce and local officials are planning for several thousand runners and the neighborhoods in Hollywood and West Hollywood will host portions of the race miles. Road closures in these areas will include sections of Santa Monica Blvd, Melrose Ave, Beverly Blvd, N La Cienega Blvd, N San Vicente Blvd and Sunset Blvd on Sunday, April 19th.
"We are working closely with several outfitters, businesses, hotels, retail establishments and authorities in West Hollywood and Hollywood to ensure the trade uplift from the event stays local and the event experience truly reflects these famous communities," said Pendleton.
"The race start and finish will take place adjacent to West Hollywood Park near the West Hollywood Library, and we are thrilled to have secured discounted rates at the Mondrian hotel and Le Parc Suite Hotel Suites. We will provide free shuttle service between the Mondrian and West Hollywood Park, and those who stay at Le Parc Hotel Suites can easily walk to and from West Hollywood Park," Pendleton added.
Pendleton added that he was delighted when CPEhr, a privately owned Human Resources Consulting firm located in West Hollywood agreed with to support the event as the Official Volunteer Sponsor.
