Randstad Named Finalist In Two Categories For The 2013 American Business Awards(SM)

ATLANTA, May 29, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Randstad, the second largest HR services and staffing company in the world, has been named a finalist for two awards in The 2013 American Business Awards, including Human Resources Executive of the Year and Brand Experience of the Year for their campaign, "Inspiring Experts," a creative program designed to educate young talent about the skill sets needed in today's and tomorrow's workforce.

As a Human Resources Executive of the Year finalist, Managing Director Jim Link draws on his experience as an industry veteran in the HR industry to drive growth, profitability and engagement for Randstad. In the past year alone, Jim has enhanced recruiter efficiency by more than 20 percent, tripled the number of leadership programs and significantly grown employee participation in professional development programs.

Randstad's "Inspiring Experts" campaign was created to help young Americans better understand the talent shortage in many industries such as engineering, IT and healthcare. In its second year, "Inspiring Experts" called on students to submit videos or essays explaining why they are passionate about their career paths and how they plan to change the world through their jobs. Participants with the most number of likes win cash, scholarships and other prizes such as iPads.  The program's first year achieved great results, generating more than 330 video submissions and 34,000 votes.

More than 3,200 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories, including Most Innovative Company of the Year, Management Team of the Year, Best New Product or Service of the Year, Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year and Executive of the Year, among others. Finalists were chosen by more than 140 business professionals nationwide during preliminary judging in April and May.  More than 150 members of nine specialized judging committees will determine Stevie Award placements from among the Finalists during final judging, to take place May 13 - 24.
