Range Outdoor Living Expands Outdoor Cooking Options With Stainless Steel Griddles Across Its Kitchen Lineup

New, built-in griddles give homeowners more ways to cook outdoors, while the new Edgemont Cove brings a grill, griddle and pizza oven together in one complete kitchen

PITTSBURG, Kan., Oct. 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Range Outdoor Living, the premium outdoor living brand from the team behind Backyard Discovery, is expanding the possibilities of outdoor cooking with built-in, stainless-steel griddles now available across its entire outdoor kitchen lineup, following a limited first release in June. The brand is also introducing the new Edgemont Cove Curved Outdoor Kitchen, which brings a grill, griddle and pizza oven together in one complete outdoor-entertaining space.

The expanded lineup gives homeowners more flexibility to create an outdoor kitchen around how they actually like to cook, whether that means grilling steaks, making pizzas, serving up breakfast on the griddle or doing all three. And because Range kitchen pricing does not change based on which available appliances a buyer selects, homeowners can choose the cooking setup that best fits their lifestyle without worrying about an added appliance upgrade cost.

"Our goal has always been to make a premium outdoor kitchen easier to own and enjoy," said Cody Fox, CEO of Backyard Discovery. "Adding griddles across the lineup gives homeowners another way to make these spaces their own. We saw the demand immediately with our first release, and now we're able to make that option available across every kitchen we build."

A Griddle Built for the Outdoors

Range designed its griddles as true built-in kitchen appliances rather than countertop accessories, creating a streamlined look that integrates directly into the outdoor kitchen.

At the heart of each griddle is an 8-mm-thick cooking surface made from food-grade 304 stainless steel. Unlike carbon or cold-rolled steel surfaces that require regular seasoning and oiling to help prevent corrosion, stainless steel offers homeowners a durable, rust-resistant surface designed to simplify ongoing care. Its substantial thickness also helps retain and distribute heat across the cooking surface for consistent results from edge to edge.

Available in 32- and 38-inch sizes, Range griddles offer independently controlled cooking zones that make it possible to prepare different foods at different temperatures at the same time. The 38-inch model offers 582 square inches of cooking space — enough for up to 35 smash burgers — while the 32-inch model provides 468 square inches of cooking space.

A removable front grease trap and included grease knife make cleanup easier, while a double-wall stainless steel hood and custom-fit weatherproof cover help protect the appliance between uses. Both models are backed by Range's five-year comprehensive warranty, including the griddle top.

"Outdoor kitchens should be built for the realities of being outdoors," said Fox. "We chose 304 stainless steel because homeowners shouldn't have to constantly worry about seasoning a cooking surface or protecting it from rust. It's the kind of material choice that may not be the first thing someone notices, but it makes a real difference in how the kitchen performs and holds up over time."

Introducing the Edgemont Cove

For homeowners who don't want to choose between cooking styles, Range is also introducing the Edgemont Cove Curved Outdoor Kitchen, an 18-foot outdoor kitchen that brings the brand's three signature cooking experiences together in one system.

The Edgemont Cove includes a 38-inch professional-grade grill, 32-inch artisan pizza oven and 32-inch stainless steel flat-top griddle, creating dedicated spaces for everything from weeknight dinners to weekend entertaining. An outdoor-rated refrigerator, integrated stowaway sink, soft-close cabinetry and drawers, dual pull-out trash cabinets and nearly 12 linear feet of engineered stone countertop round out the space.

Its curved configuration and cantilevered galvanized steel roof create a distinctive architectural look while keeping the cooking and entertaining area open and inviting. Like all Range kitchens, Edgemont Cove is designed as a complete system, with the structure, appliances, cabinetry and countertops engineered to work together rather than requiring homeowners to source and coordinate each component individually.

"On most of our kitchens, you can choose the two cooking appliances that best fit the way you entertain, and the price stays the same whichever way you go," said Fox. "Edgemont Cove is for the homeowner who doesn't want to choose. The grill, griddle and pizza oven are all there, in a space that's designed from the beginning to work together."

The Edgemont Cove is available for $14,999 with free nationwide shipping.

Premium Outdoor Living, Without the Custom-Kitchen Complexity

Range Outdoor Living was created to offer homeowners another path to a premium outdoor kitchen: one that combines the look, materials and functionality of a high-end, built-in space with a more streamlined process from selection through installation.

Each kitchen brings the structure, cabinetry, countertops and cooking appliances together in one cohesive design and is engineered and tested for year-round outdoor use. Powder-coated galvanized steel construction, engineered stone countertops, stainless steel appliances and corrosion-resistant hardware are selected with long-term outdoor performance in mind.

"Creating an outdoor kitchen shouldn't have to become a construction project," said Fox. "We're continuing to look at every part of the experience, from the materials and appliances we use to how the kitchen gets to a homeowner's backyard, and find ways to make premium outdoor living more attainable and easier to enjoy."
