Things seem bleak for the Range Rover Evoque early because it is giving up some size and potential towing ability plus 100 horsepower. The Evoque has a turbocharged, 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine that makes 240 horsepower. On the other hand, the Porsche Macan comes in with a much larger turbocharged, 3.0-liter, V-6 that makes 340 horsepower. For many vehicles this might be too much ground to make up.
