LOS ANGELES, Aug. 30, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Razor® is delivering the ultimate riding experience this fall with its redesigned safety-certified Hovertrax™ 2.0 and Hovertrax DLX 2.0, bringing a fresh look and feel while providing the fun, function and freedom the brand is known for.
As the only "hover board" product in the U.S. marketplace with a license for the original patent of this state-of-the-art technology, Razor is continuing to revolutionize Hovertrax, a hands-free, electric ride-on, with exclusive EverBalance™ technology that features intelligently-engineered, self-balancing software for an easier mount and smoother ride, every time. With foot-controlled gyro-sensor technology that offers exactly the right amount of responsiveness, riders can just step on the deck and go, leaving behind the days of stuttering, single-sensor foot pads.
"Whether you're commuting or simply riding to the other room, Hovertrax 2.0 makes any journey more fun, letting riders cruise straight, turn, or spin more comfortably than ever," said Carlton Calvin, Founder and CEO at Razor. "Built with the cutting-edge technology and high-quality materials that Razor is known for, Hovertrax 2.0 is the only hover board on the market that auto-levels for the smoothest ride possible through our exclusive EverBalance technology."
For a seamless riding experience, the new Hovertrax 2.0 and Hovertrax DLX 2.0 come equipped with UL listed quick change, swappable lithium ion battery packs made with LG cells. Dual hub motors give riders a smooth and quiet ride for 60 minutes of fun and the product includes a shatter-resistant polymer frame, anti-slip foot platforms and rubber wheels with aluminum hubs. The DLX versions come with hi-end finishes and a never before seen LED light show.
The Hovertrax 2.0 and Hovertrax DLX 2.0 are recommended for riders eight years or older and are available now at Wal-Mart and Amazon with an MSRP of $459.99 and $559.99 respectively.
Razor® is one of the first brands in the United States to be issued a new UL 2272 safety certification for its Hovertrax™, the only "hover board" product in the U.S. marketplace with a license for the original patent of this state-of-the-art technology.
After completing a construction evaluation, safety testing, and complying with UL 2272's marking, labeling, and user instruction requirements, Razor Hovertrax met all the requirements and received the new certification, along with holographic product labels featuring the UL Enhanced Mark in May.
