Readership Remains Strong for The Globe and Mail: PMB
Report on Business on top as Canada's #1 business magazine
Double digit growth for The Globe:
Female readership is up 15%, Saturday readership grows by 16%
TORONTO, March 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ - New readership data released today from the Print Measurement Bureau (PMB) for its Spring 2012 Readership Study reinforces The Globe and Mail's leadership and growth in Canada. The survey cites growth for both weekday readership - up by 3 per cent to 1,060,000, and Saturday readership - up by 16 per cent to 1,222,000. In addition, Report on Business Magazine maintains its position as the number one business magazine in Canada, with 970,000 readers.

The Globe and Mail continues to expand its readership among key demographics:
- Female readership is up 15 per cent weekday, and 18 per cent on Saturdays
- University graduates have increased by 17 per cent on Saturdays
- Households with incomes $125,000+ have grown 12 per cent on Saturdays
According to PMB, Report on Business (ROB) Magazine has the highest readership among all business magazines, with a 5 per cent lead over its nearest competitor. Readership of ROB Magazine has also shown some significant gains in key demographics:
- Readership among senior managers/owners has risen by 8 per cent to 141,000
- Readers with household income above $150,000 have also climbed by 8 per cent to 274,000
The 2012 Spring 2-Year Readership Study conducted by the Print Measurement Bureau (PMB) report includes national readership data from 2010 and 2011 of Canadians 12 and older. PMB releases this study semi-annually in the spring and in the fall.
