On August 11, 2014, Nuance Communications, Inc. (Nuance) announced its financial results for Q3 FY 2014 (period ended June 30, 2014). The non GAAP revenue for Q3 FY 2014 was $486.8 million, comprising of $11.3 million in revenue lost to accounting treatment in conjunction with acquisitions, compared to $490.8 million in the Q3 FY 2013. In Q3 FY 2014, Nuance stated bookings of $547.0 million, up 16.7% YoY while the Company's YTD bookings have increased 28.4% to $1,822.4 million. The non GAAP income for the quarter was reported at $87.6 million, down 20.0% YoY. Nuance also announced redemption of the remaining $250 million aggregate principal amount of its 2.75% senior convertible debentures due 2027 (Debentures). According to Nuance, upon redemption, holders of the Debentures will get cash equal to $1,000 per $1,000 principal amount of the Debentures, jointly with any accrued and unpaid interest on the Debentures being redeemed to, but excluding, the redemption date. Cree, Inc. Research Reports
On August 12, 2014, Cree, Inc. (Cree) announced its financial results for Q4 FY 2014 and FY 2014 (period ended June 29, 2014). The revenue for Q4 FY 2014 was recorded at $436.3 million, up 16.3% YoY. For FY 2014 revenue reported was $1.6 billion, up 18.9% YoY. The GAAP net income for the quarter was $29.8 million as compared to $28.2 million in Q4 FY 2013. The GAAP net income for FY 2014 surged to $124.2 million as against $86.9 million in FY 2013. Diluted EPS for Q4 2014 was reported as $0.24, up 4.3% YoY. The Company also provided business outlook for Q1 FY 2015 results, wherein Cree forecasts the revenue to be in a range of $440 million to $465 million.
