EDMOND, Okla., June 8, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Red Valley Landscape & Construction, an Oklahoma landscape company, celebrated its grand opening of its new 80-acre facility featuring extensive Outdoor Display Gardens in Edmond, OK with a fundraiser benefitting Edmond Mobile Meals. The event titled, Lets Eat!, is responsible for the annual funding needed for EMM's new weekend meal program. Over 200 people attended the first annual event that raised enough money for over 11,000 weekend meals.
Red Valley Landscape owner Mike Freeman was excited to report their success, "Although this was the grand opening for Red Valley's new headquarters and Outdoor Display Gardens, Red Valley Landscape has actually been in business in Oklahoma for 5 years. Our beautiful outdoor showroom is one of a kind, with nothing like it in the entire southwest. Our design team thought of every little detail while creating this amazing space. Our install crews delivered as usual with the spectacular gardens and outdoor living areas you see here. These are working examples of Red Valley Landscape's custom work and we couldn't be prouder of it." Mr. Freeman explained how his company wants to give back to the community that he cares for so deeply, "Red Valley is a family-owned business that lives and breathes because of our community and the people who live in it. We are truly blessed in our tremendous success and honored to sponsor such a worthy cause. EMM is a true charity in every sense of the word and we look forward to many, many years of partnership."
Many local businesses generously donated food and drink to the fundraiser as well. Some of the businesses are Covell Park, COOP Ale Works, Byron's Liquor Warehouse, Swadley's BBQ, Premium Brand Wine & Spirits, and Papa Dio's. The silent auction included 3-night trips to Las Vegas, New Orleans, Cincinnati, and Dallas; several restaurant gift cards; and a custom Red Valley Landscape 10 Ft. Outdoor Kitchen; among other various items.
Edmond Mobile Meals' Executive Director, Cristi Twenter, was excited by the fundraiser's results. "Edmond Mobile Meals would like to thank Red Valley Landscape & Construction," Twenter said "all the volunteers and guests for making the inaugural Let's Eat! event such a wonderful success! We are so grateful to everyone involved. One of our biggest and toughest goals for 2017 was to find a way to support a new weekend meal program for our clients in need. The funds raised by the Let's Eat! event far exceeded that goal."
"We couldn't have asked for a better partner than Red Valley Landscape & Construction to host and create such an enchanting and memorable event like Let's Eat! The money raised in one night of food, fun, and dancing under the stars has enabled us to take care of the elderly in our community who are the most at-risk. We will be able to provide weekend meals for the entire year thanks to the generous support of all those who attended this unforgettable event," Twenter said.
