According to industry studies, most auto customers prefer to not visit the dealership when conducting their business but do prefer to work with franchised dealers over independent repair shops. RedCap's service valet platform enables automotive retailers to easily and profitably offer out-of-store service experiences. Using RedCap's service valet platform, auto dealers seamlessly deliver a white labeled "Uber like" experience that automates the pick up and return of customers' vehicle. Using RedCap's recall platform, auto manufacturers communicate directly with affected customers informing them of the recall and providing the repair, when parts become available, without them ever leaving their home or office.
Available to only a few developers in the past, RedCap's API extends the capability beyond its traditional target market of auto dealerships, dealer group and OEMs. Any company that provides products, such as dealer management systems, service schedulers, lane products, customer relationship management systems and service marketing platforms can embed powerful service valet and auto recall experiences as a value added feature.
Application providers can use the API to natively include RedCap's platform functions, including booking and managing rides, automated customer communications, real-time ride and driver status, and dealership search and listing functions for large auto groups or manufacturers. The company also will open up API access to its test drive and personal driving products in the 2nd Quarter.
