Regal Cineworld Group Appoints Adam Rymer To The Newly Created Role Of Chief Commercial Officer

KNOXVILLE, Tenn., Feb. 13, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Regal Cineworld Group, a leading global theatre operator, today announced the appointment of Adam Rymer to the newly created role of Chief Commercial Officer – US. Rymer is a well-respected C-level executive with 20 plus years working in technology, media, and entertainment. He will be responsible for leading the strategy and execution of food and beverage, box office, pricing, sales, loyalty and marketing for Regal. In addition, he will oversee the company's US film and content team. The announcement was made by Eduardo Acuna, Chief Executive Officer for Regal Cineworld Group, to whom he will report.

In his new role as Chief Commercial Officer, Rymer will be responsible for leading Regal Cineworld's commercial strategy to drive revenue growth, enhance customer acquisition, and optimize profitability across its extensive theatre network. He and his team will work to develop and implement key performance metrics and strategic alignment across multiple revenue channels, including ticket sales, concessions, premium services, and loyalty programs, that will maximize occupancy, increasing customer lifetime value, and expanding the company's reach through innovative partnerships and digital engagement.

Rymer joins Regal from Reason Advisory, where he served as President, working on the future of consumer behavior, evolving business models, and technology adoption with companies across digital, film, television, gaming, music and livestreaming. Rymer is no stranger to the film business, having spent years as President of Legendary Entertainment's Digital Networks, as Senior Vice President of Digital Platforms at Universal Pictures, and also as COO and CFO of Lava Bear Films. He's been responsible for significant revenue growth for multiple businesses and generated meaningful returns by engineering strong external partnerships.  His experience includes leadership of teams responsible for marketing, business partnerships, sales, business affairs, and more.  He has a long history working with data, analytics, and technology to deliver strong business outcomes. Rymer also recently served as CEO of OpTic Gaming. Early in his career he worked in strategic planning and business development at Universal Music Group.

Rymer has an undergraduate degree from Harvard in Applied Mathematics and Economics and an MBA from The University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School in Finance. He serves as an independent board member for Adeia and is former board chair for USA Volleyball.
