Regal Global Entertainment Completes Term Loan Repricing Following Moody's Upgrade
Margin reduced by 50 basis points to SOFR + 400, delivering approximately $9.3 million in annual cash interest savings
KNOXVILLE, Tenn., Oct. 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Regal Global Entertainment ("Regal" or the "Company"), the second largest theatrical exhibition business in the world, today announced the successful repricing of its $1.9 billion term loan facility.
The transaction lowers the interest rate margin by 50 basis points, from SOFR plus 450 basis points to SOFR plus 400 basis points and is expected to generate approximately $9.3 million in annual interest savings. The maturity date and all other material terms remain substantially unchanged. The transaction was strongly supported by lenders.
Over the past three years, Regal has reduced the margin on its term loan by a cumulative 450 basis points, generating approximately $80 million in annualized interest savings.
The repricing follows Moody's Ratings' recent upgrade of Regal's Corporate Family Rating to B2 from B3, with a positive outlook. Together, the upgrade and strong lender demand reflect growing recognition across the credit markets of Regal's improving financial profile.
"Moody's upgrade with a positive outlook, followed by a well-supported repricing, is clear external validation of the progress we've made," said Thomas Song, Chief Financial Officer of Regal Global Entertainment. "Our business is seeing strong consumer demand, and the credit markets are recognizing it."
"Since emergence, we have taken 450 basis points out of our borrowing costs, and every dollar we save on interest is a dollar we can reinvest at high returns in our theatres, our premium formats and our guests. We will keep managing our capital structure with discipline as we build long-term value for all our stakeholders," said Song.
