Remo Software Upgrades Remo MORE Device Management Suite

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Oct. 7, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Remo Software, a leading developer that provides multi-platform device management tools for home use, today announced the release of a new version of the company's groundbreaking Remo MORE cloud-based unified device management app. Remo MORE's cloud-enabled device management technology allows users to manage and control Windows, Mac, Android, iOS and, in the near future, several Internet of Things (IoT) devices, giving parents more control over children's device use and also providing home users the ability to manage health technologies and other IoT devices used by their family members.

Since its 1.0 release launch, Remo MORE has provided users localized control through independent apps installed on each device. With the new 1.25 launch, Remo MORE has evolved into a full-featured family device management and control platform with a web console and app that allow the administrator to function as the "family CIO" from a desktop, laptop, smartphone or tablet. Business users can also take advantage of these Remo MORE features to control staff devices.

With version 1.25, Remo MORE users can install a version on every family member's device and set the desired level of control for each. Three different control levels are available, allowing users who serve as the family device administrator to block apps like Facebook, Twitter, allow full access to apps or set time limits. With a single click, administrators can perform device maintenance tasks such as cleanup and can also update device settings any time, either from the web console or an app on a mobile device.

To maintain security, the "family CIO" can track device location via GPS, take pictures using the device camera, remotely wipe data from lost or stolen devices or sound a panic alarm. If a device user attempts to access apps outside of the accessibility rules set for that device, the administrator can take a picture using the device camera, snapping a photo of the person who is attempting to open the unauthorized app.
