Based on the major dispute over search terms, the judge offered an unfavorable opinion which set a new standard for the use of keywords in eDiscovery. He stated that there needs to be "careful thought, quality control, testing, and cooperation with opposing counsel in designing search terms or 'keywords' to be used to produce emails or other electronically stored information."
