Rescue Village Unveils Powerful New Film at Annual Gala

"Tails at Twilight" Raises Over $145,000 to Fuel Animal Rescue, Protection, and Care

CLEVELAND, July 15, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Rescue Village premiered its 2025 feature video, Every Rescue is a Promise, at the annual gala on June 20th. The emotionally charged film, shown first to nearly 200 guests, is now available for public viewing. It offers a sweeping look at the animals whose lives have been transformed, and sometimes saved, through Rescue Village's work.

Told through three deeply moving stories, the video reveals the scale and soul of the organization's impact:

• Roscoe, a behaviorally challenged dog, turned hero to his owner.
• Denny, a one-eyed FeLV-positive kitten, found a home with a resilient young boy.
• David Lee Roth, a dog who overcame criminal neglect to become a child's best friend.

Together, these stories reflect the full spectrum of Rescue Village's commitment: rescue, medical care, adoption, humane law enforcement, and community education. The film is about the difficulties homeless animals face, the care Rescue Village provides, and the life-changing bonds that form after being given a second chance.

The event raised over $145,000 to support Rescue Village's essential programs and day-to-day operations. Rescue Village is a private nonprofit that receives no taxpayer funding and relies on private donations and community partnerships to sustain its work.

Gala guests also participated in the annual Alpha Dog auction for Woofstock 2025, to be held on September 7, 2025. This year's winning local dog, Fynn, owned by Robert and Linda Glickman, was illustrated by syndicated cartoonist Jenny Campbell and will be featured in the official Woofstock 2025 logo. The image will appear across highway billboards, yard signs, advertisements, social media, and event materials, becoming the face of one of Northeast Ohio's most beloved animal celebrations. Woofstock was recently named Cleveland Magazine's Best of the East for the third consecutive year.
