Resolution Games Announces New Localized Versions of Virtual Reality Fishing Game Bait!

STOCKHOLM and LOS ANGELES, June 15, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Today during the 2016 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), virtual reality (VR) games studio Resolution Games announced updates to its popular VR fishing game, Bait! The game, available on the Oculus VR Store for Samsung Gear VR, has now been localized for several European countries including Germany, Spain, Italy and France. In the coming months, Resolution Games will be announcing localized versions of Bait! for additional global audiences.

The company is also announcing that it will soon be releasing a new fishing destination within Bait! to include several more fish species for virtual anglers to pursue. Additionally, following Oculus' recent announcement of exceeding 1 million monthly active users, Resolution Games is announcing that Bait! has crested half a million downloads.

Resolution Games also released a 360 video for Bait!, where viewers can get a taste of the gameplay and different levels, to be promoted across hundreds of GameStop stores. Bait! provides a diverse, story-driven experience with visually rich environments and plenty of fish to collect throughout. Gameplay spans four different lakes, each with a distinct style and varying fish species that lure you in. Expert anglers can bag them all and aim for the dream of reeling in a prize-winning catch of every type.

In the game, players are transported to Bait! Island to help their boss catch a rare fish as they try to save the faltering aquarium where they work. You'll catch a lot of different fish and make friends with the locals – but can you keep your loyalties to both your new friends and your boss?
