Retina Specialist Dr. Eric Ruff Joins Buffalo Niagara Retina Associates | OCLI Vision

BUFFALO, N.Y. and WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. , Sept. 17, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- OCLI Vision is proud to welcome Dr. Eric Ruff, a highly trained ophthalmologist specializing in the medical and surgical treatment of vitreoretinal diseases, to its team at Buffalo Niagara Retina Associates | OCLI Vision. Beginning August 25, 2025, Dr. Ruff will be seeing patients at both the Williamsville (Limestone) and Orchard Park (Benzing Road) locations.

Dr. Ruff brings advanced expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting the retina, macula, and vitreous, including retinal detachments, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal vein occlusions. He recently completed a fellowship in Medical and Surgical Diseases of the Retina at Midwest Retina in Dublin, Ohio, where he honed his skills in complex retinal procedures and patient-focused retinal care.

A graduate of SUNY Downstate College of Medicine, Dr. Ruff completed his ophthalmology residency at Albany Medical College, where he served as Co-Chief Resident, and his internship at Tufts University Medical Center in Boston. His clinical research—especially in pneumatic retinopexy for retinal detachments—has been featured in peer-reviewed publications and presented at prestigious forums such as the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO).

Dr. Ruff is a recipient of the SUNY Downstate Alumni Research Award, and is recognized for his strong leadership, research acumen, and commitment to innovation in vitreoretinal surgery.
