Reveal Partners with Influencer Mario Mirante and His "Talking" Cat, Chef, on Promotional Videos

The award-winning, premium cat food brand co-stars with the comedian and Chef his cat in monthly entertaining videos on TikTok and Instagram

PHOENIX, Oct. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Chef the "talking" cat can't contain his zeal for Reveal, the award-winning, premium cat food, so the brand is partnering with his viral comedian owner, Mario Mirante, to bring their shenanigans to millions online.

Mirante, an online celebrity known for his TikTok and Instagram comedy skits, has a combined 7.8 million followers on the platforms. He started making cat videos after he adopted a kitten in March and asked fans to vote on a potential name.

"Chef" turned out to be apropos for a brand partnership with a company known for visibly better cat food made from premium cuts of fish and poultry. Chef, who harasses his human with a biting, condescending patter, became a connoisseur of Reveal after the company sent Mirante a big square box plastered with Chef's picture and loaded with its finest meals and treats. 

Mirante posted a video in May of him accusing Chef of shopping online, and Chef ordering him to "give me my kitty kingdom cubicle cuteness now!" 

The Reveal team loved his cat rescue story and the bond the two were forming, and how it exemplified Reveal's obsession with making every meal a special moment between cats and their human companions. Reveal approached Mirante about a brand deal, which led to the July video of Chef lounging in front of a floodlit display of stacks of Reveal cans, bags and pouches, yelling at Mirante to hush while he filmed an unboxing:

"To all my loyal followers and kitty comrades, today I'm pleased to be partnering with Reveal, a top-shelf cat company with delectable feline food."

The 1 minute, 22 second video ends with Chef pronouncing: "Give your kitty what they deserve – patés, gravies, filets and more. Or don't – and face the consequences."

Mirante: "Sounding great. That last line's a little ominous."

Chef: "As it should be! You try to feed me anything less than this caliber again and I shall feast upon you."

The deal includes one video a month featuring Mirante, Chef and Reveal posted on TikTok and Instagram.

In their latest video, in an argument over his date with a stray cat, Chef yells to Mirante that he has invited over a "flirtatious feline" for "an erotic evening" and promised her "a bowl of Reveal's finest salmon filet seafood dinner, followed by sweet treats and a documentary on jungle cats."

The timing of the partnership couldn't be better. Besides being a comedian, content creator, and all-around social media personality, Mirante is also a member of the latest  subversive subculture, cat dads.

Just this month in a story with the headline "It's a Great Time to Be a Guy Who Loves His Cat" The New York Times declared that "We're living in the age of the 'cat dad' and he's being used to sell premium cat products and talk about healthy masculinity."

One thing Mirante has learned about being a cat dad is that cats take their food beyond seriously.

"They are the outspoken, impatient, hangry restaurant patrons of the animal kingdom," Mirante said. "It's no secret when they're hungry or if their food bowl is in need of replenishing.

"If they had thumbs they'd be in the pantry or fridge snacking just as much as their owners."
