RevuAhnTech Launches Warp USB, the Fastest USB External Storage to Date
RevuAhnTech, a Korean SSD manufacturer has released a USB 3.0 based external Solid State Drive. The Warp USB performs at maximum transfer speed of 450MB/s, and unlike other USB Flash Drives, is a full-featured SSD with self maintenance functions
SEOUL, South Korea, Aug. 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- RevuAhnTech, an SSD manufacturer in South Korea, recently released MySSD Warp USB, an external SSD that connects through USB 3.0 interface. The SSD performs at maximum read speed of 450MB/s, and write speed of 430MB/s, which, according to RevuAhnTech representative, is practically the fastest speed any current USB 3.0 devices can achieve.
The Warp USB, is not much bigger than some of the larger USB 3.0 flash memories, and is much smaller than many other USB 3.0 external SSDs currently on market. The dimensions of Warp USB are 93mmX48mmX8mm, which is almost identical to a footprint of a single credit card, and weighs 32g. The SSD performs as fast as 8 times faster than other external storage devices. The Warp USB also supports TRIM command and Garbage Collection just like internal SSDs, which ensure consistent high performance throughout the product's lifetime. Warp USB also performs well in 4K random RW, an important factor in determining user experience. Warp USB works as fast as 300 times faster than other common USB 3.0 flash drives.
These integrated maintenance features and its high speed make the Warp USB a suitable device for hosting portable software products as well as portable operating systems, such as(but not limited to) Windows or Linux. Since Warp USB is powered from a full-featured SSD, this device delivers the same level of user experience with drives that are connected to internal interfaces (i.e. SATA port). Warp USB delivers better overall experience even when connected to the slower USB 2.0 port.
MySSD Warp USB comes in 128GB or 256GB, and is currently on worldwide sales via internet.
