HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill., Dec. 16, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Tapping reward points for holiday purchases is like finding change under the sofa cushions, and Shop Your Way members don't have to dig far as they've earned millions in points to spend at Sears and Kmart. With just nine days left before Christmas, Shop Your Way points will help stretch holiday shopping budgets to snap up great deals on last-minute gifts.

"People may not think of their reward points as a real value that can be used for merchandise –but it's like a hidden piggy bank," said Andrea Woroch, nationally recognized consumer trends analyst and money-saving expert. "Be sure to use your points before they expire. After all, the best part about having reward points at this time of the holiday season is that with so many great deals available you can save more and get more."

The significant amount of Shop Your Way points available to members – some of which expire in the next 30 to 60 days – is partly a result of the first-ever Shop Your Way Holiday Bonus offer from Sears. The offer gives members up to 10 percent back in points on purchases made with a Sears credit card or three percent back in points when using any other form of payment. The Holiday Bonus offer points expire on Jan. 31, 2014.

As Christmas quickly approaches, shoppers who visit Sears and Kmart in-store, online or via mobile have a variety of shipping and pickup options to get packages to their destination in time for the holidays. Both retailers offer free two-day shipping options on qualifying online and mobile orders this holiday for Shop Your Way MAX members and on all customer purchases of $59 or more. Shipping orders received by 4 p.m. on Dec. 21 will arrive by Dec. 24, with expedited options available thereafter. As always, most online purchases at ShopYourWay.com, Sears.com and Kmart.com are available for Free Store Pickup or Free Anyone, Anywhere Pickup(SM) through Christmas Eve.
