The Rexam Supplier Excellence Award program, now in its 12th year, acknowledges the suppliers that consistently ensure reliability, quality, innovation and cost effectiveness throughout the company's supply chain. It includes an annual awards dinner to celebrate the success of its supplier partnerships, review key business priorities and discuss ways to continue to enhance performance in the future.
The 2014 awards were presented to:
• Redwood Logistics – Supplier of the Year – for being a true partner that is dedicated to achieving the best in Quality, Cost, Support and Innovation to help Rexam meet its business needs.
• Motor Carrier Services, Inc. – Best Support – for going above and beyond to provide the service the plants need to deliver for their customers and demonstrating remarkable flexibility when faced with changing market demands.
• Valspar Corporation – Best Quality – for providing superior products and working closely with the plants to ensure they have the training necessary to utilize them to the highest level of performance.
• Motion Industries – Best Cost – for their commitment to identifying and implementing cost savings initiatives that provide outstanding value to Rexam across its locations.
• Stolle Machinery – Innovation – for their efforts as a key global business partner working with Rexam's Global Innovation Council to determine innovative solutions that address technical challenges and improve the company's manufacturing practices.
• United Scrap – Teamwork – for working in tandem with Rexam to help reduce waste to landfill both at the company and in its local communities and ultimately drive the company's sustainability goals forward.
