BLI cited the device's flawless durability performance as well as its ease of use as key factors for these ratings.

BLI found the Aficio MP C400SR helps reduce the learning curve for users by combining the simple maintenance procedures of Ricoh's printers (easy to replace keyed toner cartridges) with the walkup ease-of-use of its copier line (large 8.5" touch screen and consistent menu system).While the drums have rated yields of 60,000, BLI technicians completed 87,500 impressions without a single misfeed or being prompted to change the drums. Productivity when printing BLI's job stream from both PCL and Adobe® PostScript® 3™ drivers was above average for legal-size color MFPs in this class. In addition, productivity when printing multiple sets in color and black simplex and duplex modes was above average.
