Founding family repurchases Prelude Growth's stake following four years of partnership that saw MadeGood scale into one of North America's largest and fastest growing snacking brands
NEW YORK, Oct. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Riverside Natural Foods Ltd (the parent company of MadeGood), one of the largest, fastest growing independent better-for-you snacking brands in North America, today announced that the family founders have repurchased the minority ownership stake held by Prelude Growth Partners ("Prelude Growth"), a leading consumer-focused growth private equity firm. The transaction returns the Company to full family ownership and concludes a successful partnership of more than four years with Prelude Growth during which MadeGood increased net sales two-and-a-half fold and expanded its presence significantly in the U.S. market.
Prelude Growth, a consumer-focused growth private equity firm specializing in partnering with founder and family owned businesses in food, and other consumer goods and services categories, became MadeGood's first outside investor. The Fotovat family selected Prelude Growth for their shared vision for the brand and the Company's mission, and for the firm's deep operating experience across food and consumer businesses.
Both parties conclude this partnership pleased with the outcome and in excellent standing with one another, given the success of the brand's growth since the investment. MadeGood started as a family business, and following this rapid growth with Prelude Growth, are looking forward to continuing a successful legacy as a family business with a long-standing future.
