Rosemarie Franchi Announced as Vice President of Head Start Programs at Danya International

SILVER SPRING, Md., Aug. 27, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Danya International, Inc. (Danya), a communications, research, and technology firm, recently hired Rosemarie (Ro) Franchi, M.ED as Vice President of Head Start Programs. Ms. Franchi will provide strategic leadership and vision for the overall management of the Head Start Monitoring Support contract. She will also lead the strategic development and growth of Danya's Early Childhood Education business.

Prior to joining Danya, Ms. Franchi gained extensive experience as Director of the Worcester Public Schools, Child Development Head Start Program and was responsible for the oversight of early childhood programs within the school district which served more than 24,000 children. For six years she served as Chairperson of the Massachusetts Head Start Association and has worked as an Early Childhood Consultant in a variety of settings. In addition, she was an Adjunct Early Childhood Faculty Member teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses in Administration and Management Systems, Supervision and Evaluation, Leadership and Early Literacy. Ms. Franchi also worked as the Administrative/Management/Fiscal Content Expert with the former Training and Technical Assistance Contract in Region I.

Ms. Franchi is recognized in the Head Start and the early childhood field as a leader, advocate, and strategic thinker at the local, state and national level. She is a champion for Head Start children and believes strongly in the philosophy that social change can only be made by believing in the power of children and families to positively shape their own destinies.
