Ryan Promotes Eight New Principals to Senior Leadership Team

Girod, Darcy Kooiker, Erica Love, Winston Post, Cutchin Powell, Stephen Stewart, and Michael Tenini have been promoted to Principal.

Kristi Bryant is an executive in Ryan's Transaction Tax practice based in the Dallas, Texas office and specializes in providing indirect tax services to clients in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, refining, utility, aggregate mining, and common carrier operations. Ms. Bryant joined the Firm in 2002 and is a member of the Dallas/Fort Worth Sales Tax Association and the Institute for Professionals in Taxation. She has participated in many internal focus groups at Ryan and is widely recognized for her contribution to the Firm's myRyan flexible work environment. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting and Finance from Southwest Texas State University and has completed Sales Tax Schools I and II through the Institute for Professionals in Taxation.

C.J. Girod is an executive based in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania office and specializes in providing site selection, economic development, and credits and incentives consulting services. Mr. Girod joined the Firm in 2004 and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Institute for Professionals in Taxation, and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Pennsylvania and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from West Virginia University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Carnegie Mellon University.

Darcy Kooiker is based in the Seattle, Washington office and specializes in consulting on Washington state and local taxes and multi-jurisdictional transaction taxes. Ms. Kooiker joined the Firm in 2010 and has served as an adjunct professor at Gonzaga University in the Master of Accounting Program. She is an active member of the Association of Washington Business Tax and Fiscal Policy Committee and is a co-chair of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation's Seattle Local Luncheon Group. Ms. Kooiker is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Washington and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Accounting from the University of Washington and a Master's Certificate in State and Local Tax from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Erica Love is an executive in Ryan's Transaction Tax practice based in the Dallas, Texas office and specializes in providing multi-jurisdictional tax services to companies within the healthcare industry. Ms. Love joined the Firm in 2003 and is a member of the Dallas/Fort Worth State Tax Association and the Institute for Professionals in Taxation. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance, Economics, Marketing, and General Business from Texas Tech University and has also completed State Tax School I through the Institute for Professionals in Taxation.

Winston Post is based in the Dallas, Texas office and specializes in providing indirect tax consulting services to clients in a variety of industries. Mr. Post joined the Firm in 2001 and is a graduate of Ryan's highly selective Leadership Development program, which includes more than 80 hours of multi-disciplined leadership training. He is a member of the Dallas/Fort Worth State Tax Association and the Institute for Professionals in Taxation. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Louisiana State University.

Cutchin Powell is based in the Washington, District of Columbia office and specializes in providing real and personal property, transfer and recordation, exemption and abatement, and transaction tax consulting services nationwide. Mr. Powell joined the Firm in 2009 and has 17 years of experience in the valuation of all types of commercial real estate and business personal property, with a specialization in "Going Concern" assets. He is a member of various hotel associations, the Apartment and Office Building Association, and the Institute for Professionals in Taxation. Mr. Powell holds Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of Virginia. Stephen Stewart is an executive in Ryan's Property Tax practice based in the Houston, Texas office and specializes in providing multi-jurisdictional property tax services to clients in a variety of industries. Mr. Stewart joined the Firm in 2003, is a member of the Texas Association of Property Tax Professionals, and holds his Certified Member of the Institute (CMI) designation in Property Tax from the Institute for Professionals in Taxation. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business from Southwestern University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Texas State University.

Michael Tenini is based in the Dallas, Texas office and specializes in providing transaction tax services in the oil and gas industry.
