He is a member of the editorial boards of two international journals and a section editor of the book, Encyclopedia of Tribology, Springer. Dr. Sheng received a B.S. degree (1984) and M.S. (1987) from the Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China, and Ph.D. (1997) degree from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
