Sapphire Ventures Hires Stefanie Gordish As Head Of Marketing
Former Marketo leader to focus on elevating brand and expanding marketing capabilities
PALO ALTO, Calif., Sept. 27, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Sapphire Ventures, a leading venture capital firm with $2.4 billion under management that invests in emerging growth-stage companies and early-stage venture funds, today announced that it has hired Stefanie Gordish as vice president of marketing. Stefanie will lead the firm's marketing strategy, including brand, communications, events, messaging and thought leadership.
Stefanie brings extensive marketing communications experience to Sapphire. Most recently, she led communications at Marketo, a marketing technology provider, where she saw the company through its take-private transaction and a corporate repositioning from a marketing automation application to an engagement platform. Prior to Marketo, Stefanie spent more than a decade at global PR agencies Weber Shandwick and Edelman, where she led corporate communications programs for brands big and small across a wide range of industries. She also served as Weber Shandwick's Bay Area crisis communications lead.
