PLYMOUTH, Wis., Jan. 26, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Sartori Company announced today the results of its 2014 Partnership with the Milwaukee Brewers Radio Network in support of the MACC Fund (Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer). During the 2014 MLB season, Sartori made a special donation to the MACC Fund in conjunction with the first Brewers pitching change of every game. A check of $25,000 was presented to the MACC Fund on Tuesday, January 20th, by Sartori CEO Jim Sartori and his daughter, Maria.
The MACC Fund is a non-profit organization dedicated to funding childhood cancer and related blood disorder research. Fundraising is based on the concept of "a good time for a good cause." Money raised from special events, like the Sartori Company Sponsorship, comprises about 75% of the MACC Fund's annual income. Since the inception of the MACC Fund in 1976, the overall cure rate for childhood cancer has risen from 20% to 80% thanks to skilled researchers, dedicated caregivers and the collaborative generosity of people supporting the MACC Fund and other charitable organizations. Thanks to partnerships like Sartori and the Milwaukee Brewers Radio Network, the MACC Fund has contributed more than $52 million to research in Wisconsin, helping children throughout the state, the nation and the world.
"We've worked with the MACC Fund for several years. It's a great organization and we encourage other companies and individuals to support this cause. The five-year survival rate for childhood cancer is 80%. Although this is good, there is room to save more lives. As we continue to support MACC Fund, we hope our donations will be able to help improve that number," states Jim Sartori.
