SBA Announces New Year's Day Closing of Business Recovery Centers in New Jersey

ATLANTA, Dec. 29, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The U.S. Small Business Administration announced today that its Business Recovery Centers throughout New Jersey will continue to provide prompt one-on-one, face-to-face assistance for survivors of Hurricane Sandy during the holiday season.

These Centers are staffed by SBA Customer Service Representatives that can answer questions, help with the application process and assist those applicants who want to apply on-line to complete the Electronic Loan Application.

SBA's low-long term disaster loans may provide recovery funds even ahead of receiving an insurance settlement.  There is no cost to apply or obligation to take a loan if offered.  SBA's disaster business loans are available for amounts up to $2 million for real estate repairs, business content replacements and working capital.  Interest rates are as low as 4% for businesses and 3% for non-profit organization.  The maximum loan term is 30 years and payments do not begin immediately.

Business applicants may meet with an SBA Customer Service Representative at any Business Recovery Center.  The hours of operations are indicated below:

The filing deadline to return applications for physical property damage is extended to
January 30, 2013.   The deadline to return economic injury applications is July 31, 2013.
