Scaled Agile Launches Government SAFe Practice Consultant SkillBridge Program to Help Service Members Prepare for Government and Civilian Careers

Newly approved DoW SkillBridge Partnership offers two industry certifications at no cost during the final 180 days of service; applications are open through December 3 

BOULDER, Colo., Oct. 21, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Scaled Agile, Inc. (SAI), provider of SAFe®, the world's most trusted system for business agility and AI-Native enterprise training solutions, today announced it has been approved as a U.S. Department of War (DoW) SkillBridge industry partner and has launched its first SkillBridge program. 

The Government SAFe Practice Consultant (SPC) SkillBridge Program provides service members with a path into careers in Agile transformation, leading teams in government as well as civilian organizations that work within defense and government contracts. Participants train full-time with Scaled Agile during their last 180 days of service while continuing to receive military pay and benefits.

Every year, thousands of service members leave active duty with deep experience leading teams, planning complex operations, and executing missions, but without the civilian credentials many employers require. The new program translates military leadership experience into one of the most recognized enterprise Agile credentials, enabling these highly skilled service members to help civilian organizations modernize how they plan, fund, and deliver capabilities, including AI-enabled products and services.

The hybrid program is based in Augusta, Georgia, near Fort Gordon and runs up to 180 days. Participants can earn two certifications at no cost:

• Government SAFe Agilist (Leading SAFe for Government)
• Government SAFe Practice Consultant (AI-Empowered Implementing SAFe)

SPC certification authorizes graduates to teach and certify others in SAFe and to lead SAFe and AI-Native SAFe implementations, a credential few SkillBridge programs offer. The curriculum is tailored to defense and federal work, from leading change in a government setting to Lean Budgeting under appropriation constraints, preparing graduates to guide responsible AI adoption across government programs.

The program is open to service members from all branches and all MOS, ratings, and AFSCs. No prior Agile experience is required, although a PMP, PMI, or Lean Six Sigma background is encouraged. Remote participants are welcome, with priority given to applicants within 50 miles of Fort and the Central Savannah River Area of Georgia and South Carolina.
