Schaffer Consulting Founder Honored By Teachers College, Columbia University
Robert H. Schaffer Receives Distinguished Alumni Award
STAMFORD, Conn., April 27, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Recognizing his unique contributions to the field of organizational change, leadership development and management consulting, Robert H. Schaffer, founder of Schaffer Consulting of Stamford, received the Distinguished Alumni Award on Saturday, April 21, from Teachers College, Columbia University. Previously, Schaffer earned a Doctorate of Education from the University.
Schaffer was honored for his pioneering "Rapid Results" approach – a uniquely effective method for
large-scale change that has been applied in thousands of companies, government agencies and international organizations over the last several decades. By driving organizational transformation through measurable success instead of ineffective and costly long-term investments, Schaffer turned the logic of organizational change upside down.
Schaffer and his colleagues also founded the Rapid Results Institute, a non-profit group that provides consulting support to developing countries in Africa and around the world.
"Dr. Schaffer has done – and continues to do – so much to transform the way organizations work, how leaders can truly lead and how consultants carry out their roles," said Matthew McCreight, managing partner of Schaffer Consulting. "This award is a wonderful recognition of his tremendous impact. On behalf of all of his colleagues and admirers across the globe, congratulations!"
Schaffer has authored three books and more than 50 articles, including seven in the Harvard Business Review about methods to help organizations improve performance and accelerate the pace of change.
