Scientific Games Announces Norsk Tipping Lottery Systems Contract and Additional Contract Extensions
Further Demonstrates Commitment to Lottery Systems Business
NEW YORK, May 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Scientific Games Corporation (Nasdaq: SGMS) today announced it has been awarded a contract, through a competitive procurement process, for the implementation of a next generation Lottery Central System for pari-mutuel and odds-based numbers games by Norway's state-owned lottery operator, Norsk Tipping. Under the terms of the contract, Scientific Games will deploy its state-of-the-art Lottery Central System technology and provide ongoing service and maintenance support for the life of the contract. The contract is anticipated to begin in 2011 and have an expected term of 12 years.

Contract Extensions
Scientific Games also announced that the Maryland Board of Public Works has approved its five-year lottery system contract extension starting June 2011. This extension includes the implementation of Scientific Games' SalesMaker™ program across all retailers. SalesMaker™ is a sales improvement program and proven merchandising initiative designed by Scientific Games to help retailers make lottery products more visible to consumers by improving merchandising, displays, signage, etc. As part of this program, all retailers will be provided with 'Lottery InMotion™', which is an innovative flat panel digital display solution.
Additionally, Scientific Games was approved by the Maryland Board of Public Works for a three-year extension for its Secondary Printing Contracts and as a supplier of Video Lottery Terminals. Scientific Games has also signed a one-year contract extension to provide instant tickets for the Missouri Lottery. The contract extension begins July 2010 and is a continuation of the current percentage of sales contract.
