Leading provider of health analytics solutions adds new Chief Medical Officer
WEST HARTFORD, Conn., Feb. 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- SCIO Health Analytics, a leading health analytics services company, today announced the appointment of Kevin W. Keck, M.D. to the newly-created position of Chief Medical Officer (CMO). Dr. Keck will lead the development of clinical analytics that combine new data structures such as electronic medical record (EMR), clinical values, consumer purchasing, fitness and health reimbursement accounts (HRAs) with medical and prescription claims, and provide insights on the value of clinical pathways to improve risk. He also will focus on provider analytics to assess leakages and the impact on quality and cost, and provide insights on prescription analytics to measure the impact of therapeutic drug classes based on member risk levels. In addition, Dr. Keck will enhance SCIO's behavioral economics models with clinical values.

Dr. Keck spent the past 25 years as a physician executive, and most recently worked with The Permanente Medical Group in Sacramento, CA as a palliative care physician. He has also held CMO positions at Providence Health Plans where he created a value based benefit design, Providence Medical Group, and was Chief of Medicine at Kaiser Permanente.
