Friday, February 3, 2012, a jury found Interstate Flooring responsible for Robin Wilson's injury because the Interstate Flooring truck driver failed to utilize his parking brakes and his wheel chocks after backing up to the loading dock.
The Image Flooring truck rolled forward approximately three to four feet causing the hinged portion of the dock plate to collapse and throwing plaintiff Robin Wilson approximately five feet onto a concrete surface.
As a result of the fall, Robin Wilson suffered a spiral type fracture to her right femur, among other injuries. The break required Robin Wilson to receive four invasive surgeries to repair her femur and a surgical procedure to her right knee. Plaintiff Robin Wilson is still being treated for her accident related injuries. She is scheduled for future surgeries to treat her shattered right knee.
Plaintiff lawyer, Scott Nutter said, "We are very pleased with the verdict and feel like this is a victory for Robin Wilson."
